The Japan Packaging Contest, now in its 46th year, is one of the largest product packaging contests in Japan, where new ideas and high-quality works are submitted every year in terms of packaging technology and design.

CO・OP Salt-Free Mixed Nuts 20 bags (360g)" is a product containing 20 individually packaged bags in a paper box. In response to Co-op member feedback, such as "It's difficult to crush the box after eating," improvements were made to the packaging design and structure to address these concerns.

The packaging of this award-winning product was evaluated on the following points:
1. Perforations were placed at both ends of the bottom of the paper box, making it easy to fold by simply pushing it open with the thumb.

2. To ensure that anyone could fold the box, a sign was added that says, "Push open from here to fold the box.
3. A message saying "Thank you for folding" was placed on the back of the paper box to communicate with Co-op members.

4. The paper box is made of FSC®-certified packaging material, which certifies that it is made of environmentally friendly wood produced under appropriate forest management.

JCCU will continue to develop and improve its products in response to the diverse feedback from Co-op members regarding their daily lives.
